A&D Carbon Solutions has built its reputation on the practical delivery of whole home retrofit and energy improvements across Wales and the wider UK. As we look ahead to 2026, I have been reflecting on the progress we made over the past year and the direction we are taking as part of the EARNZ group. Our focus remains on the simple things that matter most to the communities we support. We want to deliver safe, compliant and efficient upgrades that improve homes, reduce energy use and provide long term value for residents and clients.

Whole home retrofit requires a methodical approach and the work is much broader than installing individual measures. It involves understanding the fabric of each property, identifying the right combination of improvements and managing delivery in homes where people live day to day. Many households we support are dealing with heat loss, ventilation issues or rising energy bills. Practical improvements such as insulation, ventilation upgrades and renewable technologies play a key role in addressing these challenges. Our teams approach each home carefully to make sure we deliver the right solution for that property.

2025 was a year of change for A&D, but also one where we demonstrated the strength of our approach. We integrated into the EARNZ group in July and continued to deliver retrofit programmes that supported local authorities and partners across Wales. Throughout the year we refined our processes, strengthened our engineering capability and reinforced our focus on quality. These actions helped us maintain consistency in a sector that continues to evolve. By keeping delivery standards high and communication clear, we have been able to support clients with confidence during a period of transition.

One of the most significant developments for us has been the expansion of our commercial solar work. We have been supporting a UK wide partner to install solar PV systems for commercial and industrial clients. Businesses across the country are looking for practical ways to reduce energy costs and cut carbon emissions, and solar continues to provide a clear route to achieving these goals. Our role includes design, installation and technical support to ensure systems perform as expected. The demand for commercial solar is growing and we see real opportunity to continue this work in 2026.

Commercial projects require detailed planning and a strong understanding of the operational needs of each site. Many businesses operate long hours, manage sensitive equipment or require installations that minimise disruption. Our teams have built a reputation for working carefully in active environments and coordinating with clients to deliver work safely and efficiently. This attention to detail has helped us build a growing order book and strengthen relationships with partners who value reliability and technical competence.

In addition to our commercial work, we have been closely involved in the significant contract awarded in Bradford, which is being delivered through Warm Low Living. Our design and technical expertise support the installation of insulation, ventilation upgrades and renewable improvements across privately owned homes. The contract is an important opportunity for the Group and demonstrates how collaboration between subsidiaries can support large scale delivery. Working alongside Warm Low Living has allowed us to share knowledge and provide the technical foundation needed for a programme of this size.

Another positive development has been the creation of National Retrofit Solutions, a new business within the EARNZ group focused on supporting insurance sector clients with retrofit insulation solutions. While NRS operates independently, there is a natural alignment in our work. Many of the lessons we have learned about planning, surveying and coordinating property upgrades are relevant across the Group. Sharing this experience strengthens our collective capability and improves the service we can offer to clients.

Our teams remain central to our progress. Retrofit and renewable installation require skill, judgment and a commitment to doing things properly. Our engineers, coordinators and supervisors have shown dedication throughout the year and have adapted well to the changes that come with being part of a growing group. I am proud of the professionalism they bring to each job and the respect they show to the households and businesses we support. Their work underpins the trust clients place in us and is the main reason we continue to deliver strong results.

Looking ahead to 2026, our priorities remain focused and practical. We will continue to improve our internal processes, strengthen our technical capability and maintain the standards expected across the EARNZ group. We also expect to see continued demand for both domestic retrofit and commercial solar. The opportunity is significant, but we will pursue it carefully. Growth must be sustainable and grounded in strong delivery. We want to build long term partnerships with clients and provide services that stand up to scrutiny.

There is also an important role for collaboration within the Group. Each subsidiary brings different strengths and experiences, and sharing that knowledge helps us all improve. Whether we are working alongside Warm Low Living on Bradford or supporting discussions with clients across the region, the Group structure gives us the ability to scale while retaining local knowledge and practical delivery capability. This combination is valuable and will continue to shape the work we do over the next year.

As we enter 2026, I feel confident in the direction we are taking. We have a clear focus, a strong team and a growing set of opportunities across both domestic retrofit and commercial solar. Our role is to turn these opportunities into consistent delivery that improves homes, supports businesses and provides value for clients. With the support of the EARNZ group and the commitment of our teams, I believe we are well placed to achieve this.
